Ages 3–5, 5–7, 8–13 · Newton Park & Community Skate Park
Newton Park's skatepark went through a full redevelopment with a professional skate park design consultant, giving Glen Ellyn one of the more modern layouts in DuPage County — it's a free, open park the rest of the week, but on class days it's ours. Unlike our Tuesday locations, Glen Ellyn classes run midweek, which tends to work well for families who keep weekends open for other sports. Our Fall 2026 program here includes an Intro to Skateboarding class for ages 3–5, alongside our Ages 5–7 and 8–13 classes.
We bring loaner skateboards — including foam practice boards for our youngest riders — so nobody needs to own gear before their first class. Groups are kept small and split by ability, not just age, so beginners and more experienced skaters both get real coaching time.
This is an official Glen Ellyn program. Each session below registers directly through the district's own site.
Pricing below is shown as Resident / Non-Resident, set by Glen Ellyn — residency is determined at checkout on their site, not by us. Registering through the buttons below takes you directly to that program on the district's registration site.
Right for kids just starting out through those with some experience. Coaching starts with the fundamentals — stopping, starting, and turning — and builds into ramp riding and tricks as skaters get more comfortable.

The 9/30–10/21 session runs one hour (5:15–6:15pm) instead of 90 minutes, since the sun sets earlier later in the season — pricing reflects the shorter class time.
The same gentle, confidence-first approach as our other Intro classes — balance, standing on the board, pushing, and simple first tricks, with hands-on help riding small ramps. Skateboards are provided, so there's nothing extra to buy before the first class.
