Ages 3–5, 5–7, 8–13 · Riemer Reservoir Park / Palatine Prairie Skatepark
Palatine Prairie's bowl is one of the larger layouts in the northwest suburbs, which gives beginner and intermediate groups room to work separately instead of crowding one ramp. We've run Tuesday evening classes here since the program's early seasons, and it's one of our most-requested locations for families coming from Inverness and Rolling Meadows too.
We bring loaner skateboards — including foam practice boards for our youngest riders — so nobody needs to own gear before their first class. Groups are kept small and split by ability, not just age, so beginners and more experienced skaters both get real coaching time.
This is an official Palatine program. Each session below registers directly through the district's own site.
Pricing below is shown as Resident / Non-Resident, set by Palatine — residency is determined at checkout on their site, not by us. Registering through the buttons below takes you directly to that program on the district's registration site.
A gentle first introduction to skateboarding for the youngest riders. We work on balance, standing on the board, pushing, and the first simple tricks every skater learns, with hands-on guidance the whole way, including help riding down small ramps as kids build confidence.
